Ou Gardez Belle :) *Protective style challenge update

finally put in some twist on Saturday night and finished Sunday morning.

On the monday for school i tried to have some fun with ma hair using a banana clip hehe and it did not break....

The 2nd day of school i was running a bit late so i just put it in a quick ponytail...so didnt need to take a picture of that..we all know what it looks like..3rd day which is today..(so i guess u can count backwards to know when i started..i can't remeber the date sorry)..i tried an updo style..i don't do updos often but i really want to test just how versatile and creative i can be ^_^ so this is what i came up with..nothing to fancy.. nothing too amazing..but i loved it anyway. And it was this hairstyle which gave me the compliment "Ou Gardez Belle" which is creole for you're looking nice/beautiful. (hope i spelt it right.) i love creole which is why i'm trying to learn it considering it is my native language..( i hate that i don't understand it completely but i'll get there)... ANYWay lol ..the hairstyle for day 3.....
And finally..me this morning off to get my education ....

Natural Girl To The World

So....its 2012 huh.....

Let me begin, by apologizing to my hair for not giving it much(close to no) TLC for almost the entire vacation. school reopens on Monday (hugh :(..) and after watching a few inspirational natural hair stuff, i've finally got the pump back!! i have never done an actual length check so i've planned to do one soon (don't hold your breath though) and also i've been interested in this natural hair protective style challenge by the blogger "bigGirlbigHair"

Over the vacation I tried a bentonite clay treatment for the first time. i took pictures but i'm not sure if i should show now because i can't even remember the date. but i don't think i saw much difference (i also applied it to my face lol...) . So..... am i still blogging?..yes..

After the weeks of dry, sad, lonely hair..i finally washed with YES to carrots shampoo and conditioner and i did a black tee rinse and also dusted my ends (hopefully i did that well)

I still have a bunch of knots and i've seen a few split ends (quite alot actually) which kind of discouraged me for a while (sigh) but i take full blame and my new year hair resolution is to have fun with my hair, give it the attention it deserves and start documenting my growth properly. Now that its blogged, at least i wont forget hehe

Sleeping Hibiscus

I used to think the hibiscus i was growing had a problem but it turns out there is a type of hibiscus that never opens! yes i was disappointed because i really wanted it to open but i'm extremely relieved that it's not anything i'm doing :).

I honestly didn't mean for this to be an all about hibiscus blog LOL hope you guys find this helpful in some way...

Common name: Sleeping hibiscus, Turk's Cap, Firecracker Hibiscus

Botanical name: Malvaviscus arboreus var. arboreus Family: Malvaceae (Mallow family)

Its called sleeping hibiscus by some because its flowers look like unopend hibiscus

A hibiscus,..a bee,....excitement.....disappointment......(UPDATE)

The bee made me literally squeal in excitement LOL :)

So here's the story....the fallen hibiscus was the first one. but the last pic of the trampled hibiscus was the one which the bee was on. An electricity pole was placed near it and it was damaged in the process.....i originally had three hibiscus plants...now only two remain....:( but am still happy :)

no more yarn braids.......

soo two days ago i removed my yarn braids...i know i meant to leave it in for about a month..but i got bored and i didn't have anywhere to go to show it off. so anyway its gone , I just deep conditioned and shampooed. the yarn braids were nice.i just didn't like them..maybe my second set would be better...IF i decide to do it again.
